I don't think I'll ever get used to earthquakes. They scare the crap out of me! There's nothing you can do and it's freaky to have the ground shake and everything in the house shake without your control.
We had one tonight just before 9 pm with the epicenter only 40 minutes away. It was a 5.0 and definitely felt pretty big. The kids slept right through it. The last time we had one I freaked out too! I'm glad it wasn't bigger and there isn't any damage or injuries.

Luckily the only earth quake I experienced was in my sleep when I spent the summer in San Fransisco. I only woke to find everything in the cabinets were shifted and about to fall out. When I first drove to SF, I had a fear of big bridges (you don't find many of them in CO, do you?) and as I was driving over the Bay Bridge, the radio show host announced that the most common fear of Californians was the fear of an earthquake happening while driving over a bridge. It seemed to take forever for me to get to the other side of the bridge and my knuckles were so white. I was convinced one would happen then and there.
I'm glad everyone is safe!
Reason #328 to move back to Colorado!
HA HA HA!!
