Yay, I booked the plane tickets and reserved the car for our trip to Denver in August! We'll be there August 8-16th! The only evening we already have plans for is August 9th since that is our 6th wedding anniversary. I'll be working 8-5 all week, but Chris will be available all day with the kids. Hope to see as many people as possible!
Grandpa Larry (my dad) sent the kids a water table recently. I finally got a couple of cute pictures. The kids love splashing and drinking the water.
The kids are little food beggars. They like to eat whatever we are eating. They've finally started to like apples and applesauce and even bite into the apples!
I love that both of our children have a complete obsession with books. Cooper's obsession started with the Who Am I - Bambi and Simba books. He would grab the book, plop in our laps and whine until we read to him and then he would laugh and smile the entire time. After reading the four page books 20 times a day Chris and I memorized them.
His newest obsession is Where the Wild Things Are. I think he really likes the illustrations, but seems to also like the story until the 'wild rumpus starts' and then he wants the story to be over. It's the ONLY book he will let me read him before nap and bedtime and then he cuddles with it while he nurses. It's a bit awkward, but maybe his lovey is a book? After reading it a zillion times I also have that book memorized.
Charlotte's favorite books by far are Dr. Seuss books. She always picks them out and will sit and listen to the entire story. I'm not sure if it's the pictures or if it's the rhyming, but probably a little of both. The other book she really loves is Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do You See. She especially likes the purple cat.
We had to go to the bookstore last weekend to buy some more books because Chris and I were getting bored with the 15-20 we already own for them. We bought another adoption story, a Dr. Seuss book, and a book about dogs (Cooper also really loves dogs). I'm so thrilled they love books!

Hi! Being a teacher, I love that the kids love looking at books. Reading is so important and should start early. Keep it up! :) Also, I want to tell you about an adoption book that I bought for Abby, it is called "The Lamb-a-roo". It is a great story about adoption. Hopefully we can meet you and Chris in August and see the kids. We need to set up a time and date. Talk to you soon!

We read a cute adoption story. I think it was called Horace. It's about a leopard who was adopted by tigers. My girls LOVE all the Eric Carle books (especially Brown Bear, Brown Bear). We also got a lot of books on Ebay.
