2nd Grade!

The children are in 2nd grade now!  They are finally allowed to walk themselves to school.  It took Chris almost a month to let them do it, but they love the freedom.  It always amazes me what we as parents will miss once we are no longer required to do those things for our kids.

We had a rough start with Charlotte’s teacher not respecting us as parents and generally assuming that we aren’t interested in our daughter’s academic growth.  After 5 incidents in the first 4 weeks, leaving us feeling incredibly insulted, we requested Charlotte be moved to a different classroom.  Charlotte seems to be thriving much better in her new classroom and it is a much better fit all around.

I am still waiting for Lifetouch to release the digital photos of their school pictures.  I don’t understand why it takes 10-15 days?
