We have been very busy over the last few months. We had a baby, went on a road trip, moved, accepted a job promotion and now we are adopting! We are proud to announce the newest addition to our family - Charlotte Rai!!! She arrived home today at 4:38 pm. She was born on December 14, 2007 at 3:46 pm weighing 5 lbs, 12 oz and 18.9 inches long.
Where her name came from: We named her Charlotte because Chris' grandfather used to call him Charlie. We chose Rai (pronounced rye) because it means trust (in Japanese).
She is beautiful and so far is adapting well. She is very happy and seems to love her brother Cooper and her doggy Scout. She loves rattle toys and rolls all over the floor to collect them. She even offers them to Scout! She really enjoyed her bath tonight and splashed and played. She is almost sitting up, so bath time was easier than it is with Cooper.
Mommy and daddy are adjusting, but we are a little overwhelmed. Two babies at once is a lot different than just one. We have to share duties for both babies. We are so thankful to her foster mother for providing so much information--it has been a lifesaver!
We will keep taking pictures and post more information later. We have a lot on our plate and need to take the weekend to adjust before I go back to work on Monday. Please be patient!

She is adorable, and so little compared to big boy Cooper. She is sure to be a welcome addition to your little family. I'm so proud of you all. Can't wait to hear more, and let us know if you need ANYTHING!!
