Alpha Baby

Yesterday was such a tough day!  Charlotte is getting her two molars on the bottom and they are causing her some pain.  As a result she is VERY cranky during the day.  Poor baby.  She takes about 5 hours in total naps (usually 2-3 hours) and then spends most of her awake time crying over something.  She is still sleeping well at night though, so I suppose that's a good thing!  I feel so bad for her and I can't wait for those teeth to come in already!

Cooper is clapping!  He's a little uncoordinated with it, but it's funny to watch.  He has also figured out that he can 'chase' the dog and she'll do her crazy running around the house.  Chris said that he was in their room changing Charlotte's diaper today and he hears Cooper cracking up in the living room.  He finishes up and goes out to see what he's doing.  Chris just sees Cooper sitting on the floor laughing while Scout is running all over. Then Scout stops and Cooper gives her another chase to get her going again.  My wonderful husband got both of these on video!

Cooper has also started throwing tantrums.  They are cute tantrums though (for now).  He also demands that we walk him around the house holding his hands.  And if we quit walking him the tantrum begins.  As my friend Emmy puts it, he is a little Drill Sergeant.

The kids have also started jockeying for Alpha Baby.  Although my couple of attempts at getting it on video, don't do it justice, it at least gives you an idea.  They are constantly repositioning each other's hands to move the other one out of the way.  They also fight over a toy until one of them decides the toy isn't worth the hair pulling, pinching, hitting, and yelling.  Lately Cooper has been the Alpha Baby.  Although Charlotte may just be under the weather because of her teeth, since up until now she has been the Alpha Baby.

A couple cute pictures (look at that drool!):

And here are all the videos (the walking/tantrum video is with our HD video camera...we now have Adobe CS4 which handles our video output and easily converts it to an AVI file!!!  Woohoo, now we can shoot with it and post the videos on the blog or edit them with a few simple clicks to import and export the video out of Premiere):

p.s.  If you still want to see birthday video you can bug Christopher...he's taking his time editing it. I'm sure he can find time to fit it in with taking care of hungry, crying babies all day!  :)
