I have to say, having kids at Christmas brings back all the magic and excitement. It is the best feeling in the world to see their face light up in the morning!
Cooper wouldn't go to bed last night until almost 8:30. I guess he was too excited for Santa. Then he decided to give us a wake up call at 4:30 this morning. Again, I think he was just too excited for Christmas. Luckily he fell back asleep for a few hours before getting up for the day.
Both Charlotte and Cooper seemed to have a lot of fun today because it was difficult getting them to take a nap and stay asleep. They just wanted to be awake with all their new stuff. I still don't think they've discovered everything yet. All I know is that we need to get a real toy box now.
Christopher was very generous in his gift giving and gave me a set of pearl earrings (to go with my pearl necklace he gave me for our anniversary). They are beautiful.
I cooked Christmas dinner. The ham and sweet potatoes were delicious!! Okay...on to the important part of the post (or at least the part the grandparents are dying to see)....
This year we decided to skip wrapping presents (at least for the kids), since it would require us to just unwrap everything (they don't get it yet). We put all their old toys in their room, where they stayed and played for at least 10 minutes.
Then we made them come out to the the living room. They sort of just stared at everything. (Could their jammies be any cuter?!?!)
Then they posed for the camera.
And the discovery began...
The cookie jar was a big hit
So was the Laugh and Learn table...
Cooper wanted to play with all the toys at once
Charlotte was content with the table
They weren't sure what to do with their new chairs and they fought over that butterfly all morning
Even Scout enjoyed Christmas
And this was breakfast...

I was cracking up at the picture of them in their animal chairs with their feet all up in the air! SO CUTE! What a fun time.
I love hearing Charlotte pretend sneezing. That is just so cute. It's fun to watch their language grow and how they mimic everything!!
