Cooper and Charlotte’s imaginations have gone wild! Charlotte now plays with her princess figurines in the little people castle. She makes them talk to each other and go in and out of the castle, and even kiss each other! Then she makes them punch each other.
Cooper pretty much plays pretend with anything: household items like curtain rods become swords and Scouts bones become guns; any other figurines including Barbies, transformers, cars, princesses, babies he will generally play ‘house’ with, and screwdrivers that become Peter Pan’s dagger (yeah Charlotte was Captain Hook and she got scraped on the arm before I could wrangle the screwdriver away from him).
My favorite game they play is ‘puppy’. Charlotte basically plays it all the time which means Cooper’s new nickname is ‘Puppy’ and she even says ‘Come on puppy, lets go pway!’. Hilarious!
This is more or less how the game goes:
Charlotte: Come here puppy.
Cooper: Yelp, Yelp. Woof, Woof. ::comes running to Charlotte, sometimes on 2 legs, sometimes on all fours::
Charlotte: You otay puppy? Good puppy! ::pats Cooper’s head::
Cooper: Yelp, Yelp. Woof, Woof. Yeah, I’m otay. (Since when do dogs actually talk?!?)
Charlotte: ::throws ball:: Go git it puppy! Petch puppy! (Petch = fetch)
Cooper: Yelp, Yelp. Woof, Woof. ::Runs after the ball and then puts it in his mouth and runs back to Charlotte.::
Charlotte: Yay! You got it puppy! Good puppy! Now drop it!
