Concert Season!

Chris and I love going to concerts.  We didn’t go to many in California, partly because of a lack of babysitters, and partly because of the price and inconvenience.  Being back in Colorado most of those things go away.

We went and saw Bruno Mars at the end of May.  Mikael and Che watched the kids while we went to dinner and then to the concert.  We had a pretty good meal at Bonefish Grill, but it definitely wasn’t anything like our favorite Fish House in CA (gosh we miss that place!) or really any seafood restaurant in CA.  The concert was great, but we had floor ‘seats’ which was standing room only.  So not fun for a 2.5 hr concert!

We just want to Sarah McLachlan and Colorado Symphony Orchestra at Red Rocks and it was fantastic!  She is by far my favorite artist, and I’ve never seen her live so this was awesome.  I love Red Rocks and her music was meant for an orchestra.  Really great, except for the 45 min it took to get out of the parking lot and on to the street!

Gigi watched the kids for us and we went to our favorite Hops.  The waitress messed up the timing on our food so we got our salad and entrée at the same time—annoying.  We both commented on it and the waiter asked, ‘Do you want me to take it back?’  We both thought, ‘Take it back where??  To put under heat lamps to dry everything out?  Uh, no thanks.’  At any rate we had a really great time!

And now we are off to Seattle for vacation tomorrow while our contractor does demolition on our master bath/closet and basement.  Yay!!
