20 weeks: Christmas in Denver!

What's happening with the baby:

The baby measures 5.6 to 6.4 inches crown to rump and weighs about 9 ounces. The baby can definitely hear sounds now, the mother's voice, heart, and stomach growling as well as sounds outside the mother's body. It will cover its ears if a loud sound is made near the mother and it may even become startled or 'jump'. The baby is moving often now, twisting, turning, wiggling, punching and kicking.

We're going home for Christmas this year!!! This is the first time since we moved to CA over 5 years ago that we will be seeing our family on Christmas. My sister Savannah turns 21 on Christmas day and Heather wants to throw me a baby shower so we thought it's a great time to come home. Plus, since Christopher quit his job (yay, finally!!) we both can get some time off.

We put our tree up earlier than usual this year because I'm in a Christmas spirit. I even baked cookies last night (so what if they were out of the Pillsbury pre-made cookie dough roll!). Scout is super curious about the tree. I wasn't able to decorate the bottom 1 ft or so of the tree because she kept stealing the ornaments. Now she just walks up to the tree and munches on the bottom branches and tries to pull the tree skirt out. It's funny to watch.

Okay...back to doing a little more homework (for the last time!). I just need to finish studying for my final. I updated my belly pics for the 20 week picture. I included a clothed one because Che was asking about it. (By the way if you haven't seen Maile's latest pics, she is quite possibly the prettiest little girl in the world!)

YEAH, I'm so happy you guys will be in for the holiday's. Hopefully will get to steal a little bit of time with you.
Your tree looks beautiful, even with the ornaments missing from the bottom. I think that might have to be a trend for the next couple years. Next year we'll have to do the same thing!
