What's happening to the baby:
The baby measures about 19.4 inches from head to toe and weighs about 4.4 pounds. The next few weeks will mark lots of growth in the baby. He will gain more than half his birth weight in the next seven weeks. The baby begins to move less now as it runs out of room and curls up with knees bent, chin resting on chest and arms and legs crossed. He is losing the wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.
Scout did really well in class on Saturday. She has all the commands down (thanks to Chris' hard work) and has now learned to shake, too! She is very well-behaved, and loves all of the other dogs and people in class. We are very proud of her and can't believe how quickly she has learned everything. I'm pretty sure the training is more for us than her, but still! She graduates on March 15th!
I finished making Ursula's wedding invitations (Kate's friend). They turned out beautiful!! They were tons of work, so I'm glad that Jessica helped out. It cost about $1.50 per invitation to make, but we only charged her $2.50 per invite. If I had to do it all over again, I would charger her at least $5.00 per invite--they were that much work! Now I need to start working on designing her programs, thank you cards, placecards and table numbers. We are going to be more realistic in the price we charge her since labor adds up to a lot! I could never do this as a living and I don't even think I would want to do more than 2 or 3 in one year...but this keeps me busy for now.
Who knew that going on maternity leave could be so much paperwork!! It's all very confusing and HR doesn't make it any less confusing. They just gave me paperwork to give to my doctor to fill out. I have to get it back to HR by March 17th...but my next doctor appointment isn't until March 13th. They have known I'm pregnant and planning to take maternity leave since October!! They couldn't have given me the paperwork any earlier?? Oh well, at least I'm lucky enough to get paid time off!

How funny oh my goodness, I wonder if you'll keep the ice after you give birth?? Interesting.
Hey I wanted to point out that you don't have a vote for Cooper coming after the date... What if he's a little stubborn thing and loves Mommy's womb way too much??
