34 weeks, 5 days: He found my rib

Cooper is giant...at least that's what it feels like. And he's strong! It used to irritate me when he would touch my hip bones. It just felt so weird! Well I got used to it rather quickly and now he punches or head butts my hip bones several times a day.

Now he has found my left rib. It feels even stranger than him touching my hip bone. He doesn't kick my rib, just runs his foot/knee/leg along my rib. It feels so bizarre!! I usually push in on my belly with my hand just below my rib so he won't touch it. This seems to get him riled up so that he kicks my hand away and goes to town on my rib anyhow.

I think I'm obsessed with my belly button. I am anxiously awaiting for it to pop out, which probably means it won't actually pop out. I think it's funny looking and I investigate it every day to see how much progress it's made. Chris thinks I'm weird and is tired of me saying 'Look at my belly button today!'

We had a doctor appointment yesterday. Cooper's heart rate was between 135 and 140 (when he would sit still long enough for the nurse to find the heart beat!) and my belly measured at 35 cm, so only a few days ahead. My blood pressure was 108/70, so that was good. I lost a pound--which is really crazy to me.

I'm supposed to be gaining a pound a week right now and for the last 4 weeks, not only have I NOT gained any weight, but I've actually lost a pound! It's a good thing she doesn't ask me what I'm eating or how my workouts are going. I think I've laid on the couch more in the last 2 weeks than I have my whole pregnancy, and I'm sure the late night bowls of Cocoa Puffs or Cap'n Crunch Berries aren't the best thing I could be eating!

At our next appointment in two weeks they will do the GBS culture--which means another uncomfortable appointment for Chris. After that I start my weekly appointments...crazy!

I was just complaining to Chris about how Victoria's Secret doesn't sell nursing bras. I mean they sell hundreds of other bras, but no nursing bras--isn't that what they're for?!? Well they started carrying nursing bras!! Of course some of them aren't practical--leopard print or lace?? The models look ridiculous and definitely don't look like they have ever had a baby! And the sizes seem to be a little small. The biggest size they have is a 40DD. I went from a 36B to a 36DD just from pregnancy puberty and I've been told that once engorgement passes, that it's possible to be a cup size or two larger than I am now. Since VS only goes to DD sizes, that means I would have to go up in band size. This means I might actually have to buy the largest size they carry!

The two non-people in our house got more mail than Chris and I did yesterday! Cooper (who isn't here yet) got an Easter card and Scout got a graduation card--both from Grandma Jacqueline!

Even though Scout is graduating on Saturday, I think she has regressed a little bit. She was doing so well with drop it and leave it, which were the two commands we need her to learn and why we put her in training in the first place. She seems to have forgotten those commands and reverted back to her take it and run approach. Last night she grabbed my cloth covered hair-tie and ran off with it. When Chris told her to drop it and offered her a treat in exchange, she swallowed the hair-tie!! It will likely come out of one end or the other, but jeez, I can't have her taking Cooper's things and swallowing them just so she can get a treat!! So back to practice, practice, practice with drop it and leave it.

OH NO THE GBS...I think it's more uncomfortable for you than for Christopher. Have they checked you for dialation yet?? Not fun either. You'll definately need a firm hand to hold. Tell Chris to start doing some hand exercises to pump up. HEE HEE.
