Tough Day

Last night was tough because Charlotte is teething her 2 yr old molars and woke up at 2 am in pain.  This in turn woke Cooper up.  Chris went to Charlotte and I went to Cooper.  I got done first and just as I laid back down, Charlotte let out another wail and woke Cooper up again.  After I was done with Cooper for the second time I tried to fall back asleep, but Chris was sounding more and more frustrated because Charlotte wasn’t going back down and he didn’t want to wake Cooper back up.  At 3 am, I told Chris to go back to bed and I finished putting Charlotte down.  The trick?  Tell her I’m going night-night and I would see her later, instead of telling her she needed to go night-night.  She waved to me, blew me a kiss and I closed the door…silence!

The middle of the night disturbance caused two very tired toddlers today.  I slept in a bit and Chris got up with them (we switch off weekend days).  Then Chris left to have his day out and guitar lesson, but Cooper decided he didn’t want to nap.  This meant a very rough afternoon.

They both cried all afternoon when we were home, so we took them out for ice cream at McDonald’s so they could enjoy PlayPlace.  They loved crawling all around, although we had to help them.  They were so busy playing that they only ate 2 bites of their ice cream.  Needless to say they were pooped super early and were in bed by 6:15.
