Buying Stuff at People’s Houses

I am starting to be over the movement of buying stuff at people’s houses.  You know what I’m talking about – jewelry, tupperware, cookware, makeup, perfume, purses, etc.  I feel inundated and pressured to attend these parties, when in reality most of the stuff is over-priced.  I often go because I like to socialize, however I’m finding myself annoyed with the parties.  There are just too many of them.

The one exception I have is the latest – Wine Tasting (by Wine Shop at home)!  You pay $30 for 6 bottles of wine, some white, some red.  Someone comes to your house to serve the food (that you buy) and wine, and you get to taste before you buy.  At worst, you get to have 1-3 glasses of wine for free when you attend the party!  It’s super low pressure to buy and I enjoy the party and wine.

Anyhow, that’s where we were tonight and why I didn’t technically blog on Friday.  We had fun, so it was worth it.
