Funny conversations

I started using the app Roller Journal as a simple tool to remind me to appreciate the little things my husband and my kids say or do.  I have it ask me two questions every day:

  1. What is one thing Chris said or did that made you smile?
  2. What is one reason parenting was wonderful?

Here are some of the funny things I wrote down about the kids over the last month:

Conversation with Cooper about the 5 senses:

Cooper:  Mommy, did you know there are five senses?  Smelling.  Tasting.  Hearing.  Seeing.

Me:  That’s only 4, I think you are missing one.  Let’s count them again. 1) Smelling. 2) Tasting. 3) Hearing. 4) Seeing.  What did we forget?

Cooper:  Hmmm…

Me:  What about touching?

Cooper:  Yeah!  You can smell pizza.  And sometimes it smells good, but if it smells bad then it’s a warning not to eat it.  It means it’s rotten.  Rotten means it’s yucky.  Like the bananas on the counter.

Me:  Guess it’s time to throw away the bananas.

Me:  I am freezing!

Charlotte:  Yeah, tell me about it!

Me:  I need to buy some fall clothes.

Cooper:  Do I need fall clothes?  Are you going to buy me clothes with leaves on them?

My kids leave me random messages using the label maker.  The latest one:
