Very Busy Day

Today was a ridiculously busy day, so this post won’t be very exciting.  I went to work early (get in by 6:30 am compared to the normal 8 am)to finish up some work I needed to get done.  I left around 11 am to get home to eat lunch.  Every time I have personal stuff to take care of, I am so thankful I have such a flexible work schedule.  Although, since I have some operations going on I still had to manage email and texts all day.

Chris and I decided several months ago that we were really very happy with the size of our family and the thought of more children stresses us out.  Although I have an IUD, which is one of the most effective birth controls, we both are still worried about an oops pregnancy.  Chris scheduled his vasectomy for 1 pm today, so after lunch I took him to the surgical center.  He was awesomely funny, and very chatty from the valium after surgery.  It was an entertaining car ride home to say the least.

After getting home about 2 pm and making sure he was comfortable, I left to fill his pain medication prescription and grab a much needed coffee for myself.  Once I got back, I did all the prep work for the beef stew I was making for dinner (turned out delicious!).  I finished just in time to go pick up the kids from school at 3:30 pm and get them home for snack.  Then it was off to karate class at 4:15 for them.

After karate, we rushed home at 5 pm so I could finish making dinner.  I served food to everyone about 5:30 pm, ate my own food quickly, and got ready for ballet.  I made sure Chris was comfy and reminded the kids to help daddy.  I was out the door by 6:00 pm for rehearsal and class at 6:15 pm.  I had to cut class 30 min short so that I could rush home to put the kids to bed by 8 pm (class usually goes until 8  pm).  After their bedtime, I had to finish up some the stretching I normally do after ballet class because I could feel my muscles getting sore and tight.

And now I’m just exhausted after reading about my very busy day.  Time for some vegging in front of the TV I think.
